[In response to The Daily Post’s Daily Prompt 7/24/2016 | Clock]
I only have two hours
While my toddler is asleep
To bathe, and clean the apartment
And find something to eat
The dishes are piled high
And the living room is a mess
But the clock just keeps on ticking
And I’m debating getting dressed.
I could really use a nap myself
Or to drink my weight in tea
But I think I’ll treasure this moment
When I can be alone and pee.
The clock is still tick-tocking
And my productivity is low
Maybe I’ll watch some Netflix
Or just peek at PokemonGo.
Then I hear the faintest of noises
And I sigh a mother’s sigh
I can tell that nap time is over
Guess I can kiss productivity goodbye.
