So, it’s 100 degrees outside today. Again. Ew.
Still riding off of my high from yesterday’s workout, I walked my ass to the gym today, just after lunch, in the 100 degree heat, and was so determined to do just as well as I did yesterday.
Well… I kind of did as well as I did yesterday.
Almost.
Once again, I was the only person in the gym when I got there. No manager, no trainer, no one. I decided to hop on the treadmill first, and did 10 minutes at 2.5 mph on that, just to get my blood pumping. Then, I moved to 10 minutes on the elliptical, followed by 60 seconds on Jacob’s Ladder, which I am pretty damn proud of.
It took be a hot minute to recover. Jacob’s Ladder is no joke. You think, “Oh, it’s literally just climbing a ladder, how hard can that be?” But it is! It’s so hard!
After I caught my breath, I did 15 minutes on the row machine, and one full super rep with the 5-pound weights.
Not quite as much as yesterday, but I was drenched in sweat, and starting to feel pretty tired by this point. It doesn’t help that I was supposed to start my period sometime last week, and haven’t yet (no, I’m not pregnant, I’ve always had irregular periods, especially when changing my eating/exercising routine, and it’s freaking annoying), so I have been feeling kind of weak and blah this week.
I know, this doesn’t sound like much to anyone who visits the gym even somewhat regularly, but it’s a big deal for me. I’m hoping to be able to afford a personal training session sometime soon, so I can hopefully learn some new stuff to help me target certain areas better. I have no idea what to do about my gut. I feel like I’m working out everything around it, but not actually doing anything with my core.
The gym is closed tomorrow for Memorial Day, so I have to decide whether I want to take the day off, or find something to do from home. I sure as hell am not going outside. I try to avoid 100 degree heat like the plague, if possible.

I’m glad your 30 day trial is going so well so far! Nice work with staying committed and it sounds like you’re trying some interesting stuff.
