Gym Blog | Day 21

Today was my first day back at the gym since my little groin and shoulder injuries a few days ago. I kept it pretty light, just to be cautious, since apparently my body is just falling apart whenever I do anything at all. So today was a cardio and core day.

I started with 15 minutes on the recumbent bike, alternating between pedaling super fast, and pedaling at a normal speed. I am always surprised at how much that damn bike makes me sweat. It’s awesome.

I didn’t get a change to really do anything with the weights today, because the gym was packed today, and there were a bunch of guys over in that section. I wasn’t really needing an arm day, especially since my shoulder is still a little bit sore, but the option would have been nice, I guess. Oh well.

5 minutes on the row machine, followed by standing side bends with the kettlebell, and 4 sets of 25 penguin crunches.

Lastly 2 sets of 25 step ups on the plyo box.

So, yeah. Not a super intense day, but I worked up a sweat, and didn’t further injure myself, so I’m calling it a win.

Kyle has the day off tomorrow, and we have some stuff to get done, and some people to visit, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to make it to the gym, but I am getting better at doing some stuff from home to make up for it.

Anyway, that’s it. Thanks for reading. Feel free to check out all of my previous #gymblogs.
