30 Days of Video Games | Day 2: Into the Mists

Hello, friends! I’m back again to bring you Day 2 of A Geeky Gal’s 30 Day Video Game Challenge! I had a lot of fun writing yesterday’s post, and I hope you’re all enjoying this challenge as much as I am. I’d love to read your posts if you’re participating! Let’s get started with today’s question.

Day 2: What game can you ignore the story and just “live” in the world?

This is an easy one. For me, it would be World of Warcraft. Hands down. Not only is WoW one of the most beautiful games that I have ever played, but if you wanted to live in the world of Azeroth (ya know, being able to ignore all the wars and chaos), you have so many different options. Personally, I haven’t played the game in the last 3 years, so I have missed out on a lot of content, and new zones, but my personal favorite areas to explore came along in the Mists of Pandaria expansion, which was also the last expansion that I played. They were just so different, and so strikingly beautiful, no matter what zone you were in.

I mean, come on. Just look for yourself.

So. Freaking. Pretty. The architecture, the landscapes, the gear, the pets, the enemies, the dungeons and raids… I can’t stand it. Such perfection. Mists of Pandaria was truly a masterpiece, in so many ways. I must have taken hundreds of screenshots during this expansion alone. Of course, none of those are mine. Mine were always pixelated and gross. I never even got to play on the highest settings, and it was still so beautiful.

Aside from the beauty, I also think it would just be awesome to live amongst the lovely Pandaren in Pandaria. The Pandaren are super cute, but also totally deadly, and they know how to have a good time, in the form of alcoholic beverages, if that tickles your fancy. You can even have your own little garden, and grow whatever you want, while chatting with the fluffy locals.

Basically, I just really want a panda as a best friend.

Well, there you go! My post for Day 2 of the 30 Day Video Game Challenge. Let me know if you’re taking part as well, as I’d love to read about your gaming history! Thanks for reading!
