Dream Journal 2/16/19 | End of the World

I was running down a street, surrounded by hundreds of other people, all running in a crazed panic from the ocean of lava that was quickly swallowing the world just behind us. I had my son with me, as well as another little girl, who I did not know. The buildings, the street, the trees, and even the skies all seemed to be on fire, as the river of lava crept forward, consuming everything in its path.

We stumbled upon a street, where the pavement was cracked, and lava was bubbling up to the surface. The whole town was slanted. Just a few yards ahead of us, people were going about their days, shopping and getting a bite to eat, without even realizing that the world around us was cracking, bending, and being eaten by the Earth’s core. Suddenly, the little girl running with us let go of my hand, and ran into one of the small shops along the street. I chased after her, and tried to tell her that we had to keep running, but the shop suddenly burst into flames, as a river of lava engulfed it.

I picked up my son, and began running up the steeply sloping street, which seemed to be slanting more as we went on. Other people in front of us began noticing what was happening, and started to run around, completely terrified. We got to the top of the road, just as it snapped off from the intersection that we were standing in the middle of, and crumbled into the vast ocean of lava, like a cookie breaking off in a cup of milk.

There was a massive, concrete skyscraper in the distance, and we started with the crowd toward it…

And then, I woke up.
