I was waiting backstage, holding my clarinet, getting ready to go out on stage to perform with people from my childhood and high school years. I recognized several people from high school, some from middle school, and some from district music festivals, even though we were all adults, and I hadn’t seen any of them in eight or more years. I was in a large warehouse style store, and I was trying to pull something off of a shelf, and a ton of random stuff fell down on top of me. A bunch of people rushed over to pull me out of the pile, and when I came out, my face was covered in blood, and one of the workers started screaming that my eye was missing. I started to panic, but discovered that my eye wasn’t missing, it was actually cracked open, like it was made of glass. Continue reading Dream Journal 7/15/16 | Blood and Mold
[A dream I had during my short nap today.]
I woke up from a nap to the sound of my phone ringing. I ignored it, then checked the time. It was 3:30. I had been asleep for 2 hours. I checked the baby monitor to make sure that it was on, since I had not heard Liam wake up from his nap, but figured either he was taking a long nap, or that Kyle just got him up when he got home from work. I fell back asleep, phone still in my hand.
I woke up, and glanced at my screen, which read 4:15. I rolled over and fell back asleep.
I woke up again and checked my phone. 5:30. I woke up in a panic, it was past Liam’s dinner time, and no one had woken me up. I walked into Liam’s room, but he wasn’t in his crib. I walked into the living room, but it was empty. I picked up my phone and started to call Kyle to see where they were, but a loud noise outside caught my attention, and I walked to the window.
There was an old, lime green car parked in Kyle’s parking spot, and several other older show cars parked behind it. There were old cars parked on our lawn, on our neighbor’s lawn, and in the streets. I peeked through the blinds, watching the dozen large, burly men (who looked more like bikers than car enthusiasts) standing around the cars. I took my phone out, and pushed it through the blinds, trying to get a picture of them without being seen, when suddenly, one of the men started shouting. He was staring right at me, and was alerting the other men about my surveillance attempt.
I back away from the window, afraid…
And then I woke up, for real this time… very confused.
I was attending some kind of lecture at a college campus. I was all the way in the back of a huge auditorium, with horrible acoustics, and I could not hear the speaker at all. Everyone around me was falling asleep. I stood up and clapped when everyone else did, even though I had no idea what was going on, and we all left. In the hall, a woman instructed the men to head to the men’s locker rooms and shower, and for the women to do the same. I went with the crowd of women to the locker room, where everyone started taking out gym bags filled with clothes, towels, shampoo, etc. I started to panic, as I did not have any of these things.
I went to the door to leave, but the woman was blocking the way, and told me that I HAD to shower. I asked her why, because it made no sense, and she pushed me backwards into the room. I started walking around frantically, trying to find someone who could help me, but I realized that I did not know a single woman there. After some frantic running around, I found my friend, Lindsey, and begged her to let me borrow her shampoo. She looked at me, and started laughing, telling me no. I started crying, and tried to run from the room again, but the woman guarding the door stopped me and started shouting. I shoved her, and she hit the wall behind her, and started shouting at someone to grab me before I started running.
And then I woke up.
Lindsey, I love you, but damn!
