Daily Prompt 1/24/2016 | When Life Gives You Lemons

The Daily Post’s Daily Prompt 1/24/2016 | Not Lemonade

“When life gives you lemons… make something else. Tell us about a time you used an object or resolved a tricky situation in an unorthodox way.”

I can honestly say that I have no idea what to write for this prompt. None. I’ve spent the entire day racking my brain, trying to think of anything that I’ve done that fits this… but I keep coming up short.

I guess I always just make lemonade with my lemons.

I mean, I’ve used plastic wrap and duct tape for window and door insulation, but that’s not really unorthodox, is it? I’ve never really rigged anything. Nothing crazy, at least. Sure, I use duct tape to repair, or modify, a lot of things… but who doesn’t? It’s duct tape. That’s what it is for. Right?

I like my lemonade made with lemons. I’ve never really been so desperate for lemonade that I’ve tried to make it with peanut butter, or grapes, or wheat grass. Does that make me a boring, orthodox person?

Well… maybe. I’m just so damn ordinary.

Thanks for reading, friends.
