I was lying down on my couch, watching a Jenna Marbles YouTube video on the TV in the living room. Continue reading “Dream Journal 1/30/19 | Jenna Marbles”
Hello, friends. Recently, being the lover of horror and suspense that I am, I finally hopped on board the Creepypasta train. Continue reading “My Creepypasta Obsession”
It was the middle of the day. Liam was at school, Kyle was sleeping, and all of my neighbors had convened in the small, one-bedroom apartment above mine. Continue reading “Dream Journal 1/13/19 | Mini Ladd”
As they shoved me into the back of the cruiser, the others moved to the lawn, and started shouting and protesting my arrest, but the police did not care.
I was waiting backstage, holding my clarinet, getting ready to go out on stage to perform with people from my childhood and high school years. I recognized several people from high school, some from middle school, and some from district music festivals, even though we were all adults, and I hadn’t seen any of them in eight or more years. “Let’s all learn from our mistakes, and try to be a better person than we are today.”
Hello, friends. I want to talk about something today that is very near to my heart. It may be triggering to some, and to others, you may not even care. Today, I want to talk about bullying. Specifically, cyber bullying. Recently, a very funny man named Wade, who I regularly watch on YouTube, and who I follow on social media, made a post to his Tumblr page that tugged at my heart. In his post, Wade spoke poignantly about how we, as a generation who spends much of our lives online, treat other people on social media, and shed some light on the ever growing issue of cyber bullying. A barista asked us if we wanted anything, and she seemed very flirty with Kyle, which irked me a bit, but we told her we did not want anything, which did not make her happy.
Kyle and I were about to start our vacation in London. We had just gotten out of the back of a cab, when Kyle’s phone rang, and we were informed that our hotel had a gas leak, and that we could not stay there. Frustrated, we dragged our luggage into a small cafe across the street, and tried to figure out our next move. We were sitting at our table, scrolling through hotel listings on our phones, when a man approached us. I looked up, and there, standing by our table, was Felix Kjellberg… or PewDiePie, as you may also know him as. Continue reading “Dream Journal 7/3/16”
Hello, friends. I’ve been restless and riddled with anxiety lately, and it isn’t getting any better. Here is another vlog for you just to let you know about something important that is going on regarding my living situation. Any advice you have is definitely appreciated. I’m starting to realize that, while I may be accustomed to living in these conditions, my son shouldn’t have to be. Why is adulthood so hard?
Thanks for watching, friends.
Hello, friends! I recently stumbled across this 40 Beauty Questions TAG!, and I thought it would be fun to give my answers, and give you a peak into my life, in terms of… well, beauty stuff. I do not know who created this, but I will provide you with a link to the site I found it in.
Here we go!
-How many times do you wash your face daily?
Honestly, I’m horrible about washing my face, unless I am actually in the shower. I am ashamed to admit that I go to bed with my makeup on more often than not. Ahhh, so bad.
-What skin type do you have (dry/oily/combo)?
I actually have no idea! I would say probably combination skin, because it is a bit of both, though not severe on either side of the spectrum.
-Do you exfoliate?
Nothing hardcore, just with my scrub that I mentioned before.
-What brand do you use?
-What moisturizer do you use?
Up&Up Sensitive Skin Facial Moisturizer, store brand, but comparable to Neutrogena!
-Do you have freckles?
A few, yes!
-Do you use eye cream?
Not yet, probably will start soon.
-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
I have in the past, it did nothing for me at all.
-What foundation do you use?
Currently, the Younique liquid foundation in “Velour”, which was a gift, but I’m not a fan. Before that, Rimmel Matte Foundation.
-How about concealer?
I think it is also Rimmell, but I have no idea! I don’t use it much. I never have luck with concealers…
-Do you know your undertone color?
Warm? I think.
-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
-Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?
Nope, and I definitely don’t. Oops?
-What brand of mascara do you use?
Maybelline! Pink tube.
-Sephora or MAC?
Too broke for either.
-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
Aside from my fingers (I know, I’m awful)? I have a Real Techniques foundation brush, which I love, and some sponges. And two different slanted brushes for brows/eyeliner. That’s it!
-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Not anymore. Too expensive.
-For the face?
I need more.
-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
Honestly, I don’t wear much eyeshadow. I got some samples of a few Younique shades, and I like “Sexy” and “Confident”.
-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Pencil usually, but I dabble in cream.
-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Um, never actually. Not even in the car.
-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
No idea, haha.
-Do you use mineral makeup?
I have in the past… too broke for it now.
-What is your favorite lipstick?
I don’t wear lipstick!
-How about lipgloss?
I don’t wear gloss either really, but I have a pretty pink one from VS that I have had for years… and should probably toss.
-What is your favorite blush to use?
Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush in “Pinking of You”.
-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
-Do you like drugstore makeup?
It’s all I use!
-Do you go to CCO’s? (cosmetic company outlets)
-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
I have, yes.
-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
-Name a makeup crime that you hate?
Probably all of the ones that I’m guilty of.
-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick/eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?
Mascara probably, though I have black lashes already… hmm. Maybe just foundation?
-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
I usually do!
-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
I don’t even look good WITH makeup on!
-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
I don’t have much experience outside of drugstore makeup really, I get most of mine from Target, or somewhere similar. I dabble in several brands, as each has its hits and misses. I like quite a bit from Maybelline though.
-What do you think of makeup?
I don’t really know. I like makeup, even though I’m terrible at it, and it doesn’t do much to help my appearance. You definitely don’t need makeup, as women (and men) are beautiful creatures anyway, but I love to watch tutorials and marvel at the skills others have with it. Makeup can definitely be fun!
And there you have it! I hope you all enjoyed laughing at how horrible I am when it comes to beauty things.

The Daily Post’s Daily Prompt 1/31/2016 | Roaring Laughter
“What was the last thing that gave you a real, authentic, tearful, hearty belly laugh? Why was it so funny?”
I love laughing. I need laughter to survive. Do you enjoy laughing? Well, prepare yourselves, my friends, because I am about to introduce you to something amazing. Well, specifically, two someones. As many of you know, I am an avid YouTube watcher. I watch vloggers, gamers, and beauty gurus from several corners of the world, and I’m always looking for new channels to subscribe to. A few months ago, after hearing them referenced by nearly every YouTuber that I watch, I decided to subscribe to this hilarious duo.
Meet Rhett McLaughlin and Charles Lincoln “Link” Neal III, aka Rhett and Link, the hilarious “Internetainer” duo behind the wildly popular YouTube channel, Good Mythical Morning. Good Mythical Morning is a family-friendly YouTube show, hosted by Rhett and Link, which currently boasts an impressive subscriber count of just under 10 million. GMM releases episodes every weekday, including a “show after the show” on a separate channel, called Good Mythical More, which includes unedited, goofy commentary, additional games or challenges, and a look at the crew behind GMM. Videos on both channels are generally between 10-15 minutes long, and are family friendly, so you can watch with your kids! Don’t have time to sit at your computer and watch episode after episode of GMM? No problem. You can also download episodes from iTunes as either a video podcast, or an audio podcast. Rhett and Link also have a main channel called Rhett & Link, where they perform funny skits, create original songs and music videos, and do commercials, are usually just a few minutes long, as well as an EXTRAS channel, where you get to see all kinds of funny extras, and get to know the crew better. Their 4 channels combined have around 16 million subscribers total! That’s pretty impressive. Aside from their popular YouTube channels, Rhett and Link also have a podcast called Ear Biscuits, which you can listen to on iTunes and SoundCloud. They also put out a weekly collaboration song with various other YouTubers, called Song Biscuits.
I’m subscribed to ALL THE CHANNELS.
Now that I’ve provided you with a ton of links to add to your arsenal of awesomeness, here’s a little bit more on Rhett and Link. These two guys have been best friends since the ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, you guys, and seem just as close as ever. They’re both all grown up (well, physically), are both married, with kids of their own, who sometimes make appearances on the show. The comedic chemistry between these two is amazing, and there is never a lull, or a dull moment, on their show. Whether they are tasting gross food for the sake of answering the age old question of “Will it?“, testing out ridiculous products, reading and opening fan mail, or testing out crazy theories, these two will keep your whole family laughing. They also interact with their fans frequently, across virtually every social media platform you can think of, and include them, and their fan mail, in the show. They’re seriously fantastic.
There are currently well over 1,000 videos on JUST the Good Mythical Morning channel, and I’ve been enjoying binge-watching every episode throughout the day. Even as I type this, I’m watching an episode where Rhett and Link try to eat a pizza in 60 seconds! Before that, I watched a video about the 4 biggest viral hoaxes on the internet. These guys cover everything you can imagine, in a hilarious, engaging fashion.
Once you’ve become a super fan, you can spend your hard-earned money on some seriously cool merch from their store, including Rhett’s Beard Oil, Link’s Lip Balm, and awesome hoodies.
One last time, here’s a list of most of their links and info, for anyone interested in becoming obsessed:

The Daily Post’s Daily Prompt 1/25/2016 | Key Takeaway
“Give your newer sisters and brothers-in-WordPress one piece of advice based on your experiences blogging.”
YouTube, vlogging, blogging, Instagram, Twitter, podcasting… the biggest piece of advice that I could give to someone, is to not worry about the numbers. This is something that I have struggled with, no matter what platform that I chose to express myself on. The most important thing to remember is that if you have good, relatable content, the followers and subscribers will come. It may take months, or even years, but if you stick with it, and stay true to yourself, and what you want to produce, then it will happen.
Focus on quality, not quantity.
I think everyone secretly thinks that it will happen overnight. That they will put out a few blog posts, or a few witty videos on YouTube, and all these people will magically find them, and they will become a hit sensation immediately, and become monetized, or even sponsored, but that’s not how it works. You also have to put yourself out there. Find other, like-minded people in the community, and reach out to them. Participate, give feedback. You can’t expect to gain anything, if you’re not willing to give.
Stay patient, don’t give up. It will happen.
