Small Stones 8/21/16

The little girl looks over at my son with bright, blue eyes. The two sit on the swings, facing opposite directions, so they can see each other. Sweet, giddy, laughter fills the air. Her curly, blonde pigtails fly wildly with every swing. Her mom tells me her name is Olivia. Pretty name. We chat pleasantly, pushing our happy toddlers on the swings, enjoying the first cool day of the summer.

*Every day, throughout the month of August, I will be participating in a fun writing experiment, known as Small Stones, for #AwakeAugust. To learn more, or for more examples of Small Stones, you can click here.
